First Day of Summer. Kind of. The leap year makes things a bit screwy, I guess.

And look!  A picture post.  This is where I run.  Out in the fields and abandoned railway lines that connect the villages surrounding the little town where I live.

See that hill above on the left?  Behind all those trees, that’s where I grew up, spent the first 18 years of my life.

This path takes me down to the old railway lines that starts my trek back (uphill) to Garforth.

That’s the direction of Garforth.  Sky looks kind of grim.  Confirmation that it must be summer then.

I should have stopped to take this one (it’s a little blurry) but when I get to this bridge (in the centre, disguised by trees), I know I’m nearly done - just under a mile to go.  See the three people ahead of me? They each have a dog - one’s a greyhound, the other two not so memorable - and I usually pass them every Saturday morning, sometime between 0830 and 0840 down on the lines.  I’m sure we’ll be conversing past the “Morning!” and “thanks” soon.
