I also did four loads of washing today and have noticed that, as we head into evening, the sun is now shining. However, I have three loads of washing hanging around the house, the third still spinning away, as the days done nothing but drench Garforth all day.
Please let this be the start of decent weather again. The rain did its best to wash my birthday weekend out, but didn’t quite managed to get anywhere near pissing on the spirit of the celebrations. I spent the entire weekend with good people and friendships I treasure, so thank you all for making it such a happy (and drunken) weekend, from start-to-finish.
As my birthday usually signals the start of summer, I often look to the months ahead and figure how I’m going to spend them. I’m planning on a reasonably quiet few months, lazing not too drunkly with aforementioned friends, relatively soberly I’m planning, I might add. I hope to have a couple of big days out (thinking the coast and the races here, just to plant seeds in minds of others). Really though, I feel like slowing it down for a bit. Drinking is becoming such hard work and a big session is starting to write-off the first couple of days of my week. I want to focus my summer on getting my fitness back - I’ve been extremely slack since Oz.
Still, I’d like the weather to get back to and keep being good. The lunchtime view down by the canal much more enjoyable than the one from the room stinking of stale beer while I sip on Coke.
Tomorrow, 1pm is set to be almost warm and almost sunny. Must remember to make sure there’s suncream in the car.
