I rang O2 this morning, fully expecting to have to speak to retentions, fully expecting to put the phone down, with contract cancelled after airing my grievances regarding their crappy and backward data tariffs, because, in my wildest dreams, there was no way they were going to tell me they were having a big annoucement this Friday regarding their data tariffs and it would “really be worth my while” hanging onto my contract until I’d read the news. Okay, long sentence, that. Rachel in Retentions, while attempting to remain very vague about “the announcement”, truly believed it will make me happy.

We shall see.

I’ll happily stay with O2 if Friday’s news matches or beats T-Mobile’s data offering. Of course, O2 don’t have the N95 in stock until “next week”, and that could become a stumbling block. So, watch this space.

(I’m not linking this evening. I’m in bed and tired. And lazy.)

So, I just got an email from O2 with the subject: “It’s nice to be the first to know”. It has absolutely nothing to do with tomorrow’s “the announcement”.

    What a set of prick-teasers!
